It was against the Great One that changed everything. By this time the damage from the unbridled use of chemical weapons, biological agents and localized atomics had rendered the land uninhabitable. Indeed the Soldiers fighting against the Great One were falling victim to the now blasted irradiated environment within hours (and sometimes minutes) of leaving their shelters even in full ABC suits.

A solution had to be found, the Great One had to be stopped. The best minds and scientists of the time met, and whilst the depleted armies fought a desperate series of suicidal battles to hold back the Great One. A new type of soldier was developed, dubbed the Alpha Male, a soldier that had increased reflexes, strength and endurance, contained within an armored environment suit. The genetically enhanced metabolism of the Alpha Male was able to operate for prolonged periods in the poisoned lands and feel no ill-effects.

The first Alpha Male Biological Armored Defense Trooper Battalion saw action against the Great One with mixed results. It was the first victory for B.A.D Troopers, and the last few regular military units. This first battalion was all but destroyed after displaying unexpected valor and intuitive. Thankfully the new 'soldier' could be mass-produced, many B.A.D factories were built, and with sheer weight of numbers the Great One was finally overcome.

It was almost to late for those that survived, the lands where all but uninhabitable now, the damage could not be undone and slowly the remaining populace where confined into a series of Colony-shelters.

It is now 150 years since the Great One, society has changed, the Colony-shelters formed a League, and are now locked into an endless cycle of war against the Omega Coalition. Both sides have fought themselves to a stalemate, resources now stretched to a near breaking point and an uneasy peace has settled, it has been this way for the last ten years, but everything is about to change.


Alpha Male
ALPHA MALE - Original body type, genetically designed to be easily modified and trained for various tasks. They were the first of the B.A.D suit troopers developed to fight the Great One and achieved considerable success during the war. Alpha Males are adaptable, dependable, loyal and highly intuitive. Alpha Males can be found in every functioning level of the League Colonies due to their stable DNA sequences and mass-production in the remaining B.A.D factories.

G2 Alpha Male

G2 ALPHA MALE - Developed to be the next generation B.A.D suit troopers, their genetic structure was re-engineered to increase reaction time, survivability, and intelligence. Trained as special forces, they never saw any fighting against the Great One due to a major flaw in there genetic codes. Almost 90% of all G2's manufactured exhibited psychotic tendencies and an highly developed superiority complex. They rebelled and formed the Omega Coalition deep in the outer wastes, where they still wage their pure war upon the League Colonies. Due to their unstable and flawed DNA no G2 Alpha Male units were manufactured or serve in the League Alliance.


Beta Female
BETA FEMALE - Original conceived and designed to maintain the Logistics & Support services for the B.A.D Suit Troopers Battalions, it was soon found that many Beta Female due to their slight build and increased aptitude made fine Fighter & Mechanized Walker Pilots. It wasn't long before they were serving on the front lines against the Great One, were many Beta Female models started to exhibit leadership capabilities and extreme tactical awareness. This led to Beta Females being promoted to command position, fighting and leading B.A.D Troopers into battle. Due to their easily replicated and stable genetic structure Beta Females can be found in every echelon of League Colony society.

Delta Scout
 DELTA SCOUT - With the increased environmental damage from the unbridled used of chemical weapons, biological agents and localized atomics made intelligence gathering using satellites and other electronic surveillance equipment almost impossible. So the Armed Forces had to fall back on a more traditional scouting role of sight location. To this end the B.A.D Scientists developed the Delta Scout. Smaller and weaker, than the Alpha Male, but with their survivability enhanced and stealth skills inbred. They now in the Aftermath perform the same roles for the League Military guiding Assault Teams to their Targets, and performing covert intelligent gathering operations.

Omega Soldier
OMEGA SOLDIER - The Omega was developed by the Omega Coalition to answer the need for dispensable rank-and-file troops. The idea was to engineer the perfect soldier that obeyed orders without a question. The Coalition Scientists tinkered with the stable Alpha Male DNA to increased strength, and aggression. The result was mixed, the increased strength led to reduced intelligence, and the enhanced aggression made the Omega more of a creature of instinct. Only through the use of visual cortex units could the Coalition Commanders control the Omegas in battle. Over time the Omega sequence found its way to the League hands. The League Scientists developed an arm mounted unit to control the highly aggressive nature of the Omega, through a combination of drugs, and used a heavy indoctrination process to train them. This process fixed some of the problems, but trouble sequencing the Omega strain has led to a very limited number of Omegas operating in League military units.
